BYLC Career Bootcamp 2022 is a one-month-long professional development program for 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate students, post-graduate students, and university graduates looking for job opportunities in the development sector. The bootcamp is designed to provide a more direct path for young people trying to enter the development sector.
Apart from first-hand knowledge, enhanced employability skills, sessions on technical and soft skills, and networking, participants will be able to tailor and refine their applications for the development sector and network with potential employers.

The bootcamp is designed to help participants gain skills and enhance their competencies to transition into development sector careers. Participants will attend regular online and physical classes, complete online learning modules designed to develop their employability skills, and initiate community development projects. All the pieces work together to give them confidence, clarity, and unconventional career building skills in the development sector.

To enhance your career potential, explore job opportunities, and kick-start your career as development professionals through short, intensive training modules. You also get the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and potential employers, and upon graduation, you will be offered career placement opportunities through BYLC OPD. Furthermore, as graduates, you can avail BYLC OPD’s one-on-one career counseling and mentoring services.

All the classes will be taught virtually except the closing ceremony. The venue details for the closing ceremony are given above.

BYLC Office of Professional Development will connect participants to employers and help place them in lucrative job opportunities in well-known NGOs, INGOs, and social service organizations in Bangladesh.

Development organizations in Bangladesh have evolved from solely grassroot organizations to include international non-profit organizations, social enterprises, social consulting organizations, research organizations, etc. The range of career opportunities have also expanded to include humanitarian aid, climate change, disaster management, education, public health, capacity development and much more. Apart from building a sustainable career in this sector, you have the opportunity to give back to society through short and long term social development initiatives.

We will soon publish our list of partner employer organizations participating in the bootcamp. Keep an eye on our webpage and the Facebook page of BYLC.

The admission process is quite competitive. All the online applications will be reviewed by an admissions committee. The admission process will depend on the written essay component of the application form.

As all our sessions are based on an experiential training method, we encourage students attend all the classes so that their learning is not hampered. You will, unfortunately, not be able to graduate if you miss more than two classes.

We encourage you to complete all the online modules to maximize your learning and career preparation. You will, unfortunately, not be able to graduate unless you complete 80% of the online modules..
